Distance Education Clearinghouse
This Web site provides a wide range of information about distance education and related resources. This comprehensive and widely recognized site brings together distance education information from Wisconsin, national, and international sources.
Distance Learning Instructional Resources
It is virtually impossible to stay current with the wide array of multi–media instructional resources available in adult basic education. Increasingly adult educators turn to the Internet to find these resources and to search for instructional modules and course length materials. This section identifies basic resources and lists of resources available to adult educators.

The Purdue University Online Writing Lab (OWL) has an extensive list of ESL resources for students and teachers.
Innovation and Alternative Instructional Delivery Program
With approval from California Department of Education, adult education programs can use up to five percent (5%) of their block entitlement for innovative techniques and nontraditional instructional methods with new technologies. You can now apply online for this program (formerly called the 5% Program) and review program requirements.
Literacy Assistance Center
Founded in 1983, the Literacy Assistance Center (LAC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides essential referral, training, information and technical assistance services to hundreds of adult and youth literacy programs in New York.
