Firefighters hope to achieve 100% containment Friday on a large blaze labeled the Winton Road fire. The blaze has already consumed more than 120 acres of land in Calaveras County about twenty five miles east of Jackson.

Firefighters worked all night trying to contain the wildfires near the town of West Point. While that effort was largely successful, officials worry winds could fan the flames again.

The fire destroyed two homes, a cabin and three out buildings. Residents were allowed back in their homes overnight.
