Sacramentans got the chance to experience Latin culture on Sunday, as thousands enjoyed the Festival de la Familia in Old Sacramento.

Crowds thronged the streets of Sacramento's old town to sample Hispanic food, listen to Latin music, dance, browse craft booths, and generally experience a sparkling Northern California spring day. In all, the Festival featured the arts and culture of 21 different Latin American countries.

This is the tenth consecutive year the festival has been held. Organizers say attendance has improved every year, and this year was no exception. Sunday's crowd was estimated at 140,000.

Admission to this year's event was free, as it has been to all the previous festivals.
