Nobody can become President of the United States without one important group of people -- the electoral college.One local elector is Carol Norberg, wife of Democratic congressional candidate Mark Norberg. In California, Democratic electors are chosen by Democratic congressional candidates, so Norberg chose his wife."There's no question in my mind that I'm going to to keep it within the family," said Norberg. "And the first and most important person in my household is my wife."On Monday December 18th at two o'clock in the afternoon, Carol Norberg and 53 other democratic electors will meet in the assembly chamber and cast their votes for Vice President Al Gore because Gore won the majority of the popular vote in California.
